SULLY. Maximilien de Béthune, duc de. (circa 1640). 2 parts parts in 1 volume in-folio, grained basane, ornate ribbed spine, double gilt fillet frame on boards. Clumsy restoration to the upper hinge, split jaws and hinge. One of two forgeries of the original edition of the first two volumes, published during Sully's lifetime and printed at his château in 1638. The last two volumes were not published until 1662, at the Paris address. Ex-libris Georges Fessard.
