TEMPLE. William. Letters from Mr. Chevalier Guill. Temple, and other Ministers of State, both in England and in pays étrangers The Hague. Henri Van Bulderen. 1700. 2 volumes in-12, blond calf, ornate ribbed spines, red title-pieces triple gilt fillet on covers. One upper hinge cracked, corners bumped, some corners bumped, some light spotting. First publication, in Samson's translation: this series of letters corresponds to Temple's mission to the Netherlands; it was followed by several others covering the years 1672-1688. They are of the greatest interest for the diplomatic history of England.
