Average condition, with minor flaws. 2 are letters from Barbier, dated 1809 and 1810, author of the famous Dictionnaire des ouvrages anonymes. The other 5, dated between 1841 and 1855, are by Louis-Nicolas or Olivier- Alexandre Barbier. Paul Baudier (1881-1962) was born in Châtillon-sous-Bagneux and was a pupil of wood engraver Edmond Duplessis, his uncle. From 1900, he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, became Meilleur ouvrier de France, and contributed to various newspapers, before illustrating numerous books.
