[CARICATURE] - A room divided into three parts. Left side/Center/Right side. (circa 1819). Colored etching. 23 x 32 cm. Contemporary giltwood frame. Some foxing. Colored etching. The man of the left is presented as sound of body and mind, with a well-stocked library including the Social Contract, believing that "French people are equal before the law", the man from the center is shown as a pot-bellied man: "ah quels dîners quel bons dîners" ("ah what dinners what good dinners") while the man on the right appears stunted, repeating "let's turn off, let's turn off the lights".
