[WATERLOO] - Dragon harnessing his horse and a skirmisher leaning against his cannon in front of a citadel. (Early 19th century). Pen drawing. 25 x 38.5. Slight folds and foxing. Accompanied by a note stating "Period sketch [...] executed by a dragoon of the 7th Regiment native of St Gengoux le National who attended the Battle of Waterloo in June 1815. campaign notes existing in the family) Given to me by R. Gounard (?) antique dealer who bought the helmet of the said dragon of the 7th Regiment." On back of note in pencil: "4.02.85 Ader-Picard- Tajan".
