# Pair of sheaths in blackened wood with Boulle-style marquetry decoration, each opening with a leaf, white marble top. Napoleon III period, 19th century. H: 128.5 cm - W: 52 cm - D: 33 cm. (Misses, dents). Specimen made from parts and fragments of tinted horn of domestic bovids, imitating sea turtle shell, of the species known as "boeuf domestique" [ bos toarus domesticus]. Species not regulated under the Washington Convention (CITES) and EC regulation 338/97 of 9/12/1996 and the French Environment Code.
