COLLECTION BAUDOUIN] - Collection générale des décrets rendus par l'Assemblée nationale, avec la mention des sanctions & acceptations données par le Roi [suivi de :] Bulletin des lois Paris, Baudouin [puis :] Imprimerie nationale (impériale ou royale), 1790-mars 1838, 147 volumes in-8. Tobacco half-basane, smooth backs decorated with golden filets, slices speckled with red (rel. of the period). Scrubbed backs. A very important series which brings together two distinct and overlapping sets of legislation for the period of the Convention and the Directory: I. The 55 volumes of the Baudouin Collection of Laws, from 1789 to 1799, including two volumes of tables inserted in their place. It ends on 5 Nivôse An VIII [26 December 1799], the date of the coming into force of the consular constitution. II. Part of the official collection of the Bulletin des lois, for the Revolution, the Consulate, the Empire, the Restoration and the July Monarchy, divided up as follows: 1. First series, complete: volumes I-VI (year II- year IV). - Second series: only volumes III, V and VI (i.e. 3 of 9). - Third series: only volumes VI and VII. - Fourth series: only volumes VI, VII, VIII, IX, XVII, XVIII, XIX and XX. - Fifth series: only volumes II and III (the latter comprising the second half of 1814 and the first half of 1815). - 6. sixth series, complete: a single volume (covering the second half of 1815). - Seventh series: volumes I-III and V-XIX (missing IV). - Eighth series: volumes I-XII (in 14 volumes). - Ninth series: volumes I-XV (in 28 volumes). Attached in the same binder are: Messages, orders and proclamations of the Executive Board. Paris, Baudouin, year IV - year VIII [1795-1800], seven volumes. Copy of the Marquis Adolphe-François-René des Portes (1790-1852), deputy of Ariège from 1830 to 1831 and from 1837 to 1845 (date on which he became a peerage), with his name at the back.
