86. Cupboard opening with two leaves veneered with Coromandel lacquer panels with polychrome decoration of Palace scenes in the upper part and flowering branches in the lower part. The frame of each panel is chiseled and gilded bronze decorated with rocaille cartouches. The sides are inlaid with crosses, the rounded uprights resting on sloping feet. The reverse side of the leaves and the upper shelf veneered with rosewood. Louis XV style, late 19th century for the frame and the cabinetwork. China, Kangxi period (1662-1772) for the lacquer panels. (Small damages to the veneer, scratches and small damages to the lacquer). H : 172 cm - W : 137 cm - D : 43 cm. The cabinet we present is inspired by a model executed by BVRB, preserved in the Louvre Museum (Inv. OA 9599, from M. Anténor Patino).
