125 [GIDE (André)]. Egypt 1939. Sans lieu ni date (Paris, 1951), in-8, mustard morocco, ribbed spine, gilt edges on brochure, cover and spine preserved, slipcase (P.-L. Martin, 1971). First edition. Unique edition of 21 copies on Hollande Pannekoek paper (no. 13), the only large-format paper. A precious copy with a long letter from the publisher, Roland Saulier, to Pierre Cousten, dated February 2, 1971, shedding light on this edition, which was published without a publisher's name: "All this has led me to be a secret publisher! This work was published in 1954 in part under the title "Carnets d'Égypte".
